Sonia has utilized her experience of 30 years to assist clients on how to manage and defend against state-initiated audits and effectuate favorable settlements. Sonia served as sworn Deputy Treasurer/Deputy General Counsel to the Pennsylvania State Treasurer, and successfully defended Pennsylvania's unclaimed property statute before the Pennsylvania Supreme and appellate courts. Sonia has worked for two Big 4 accounting firms, serving as National Director and regional practice leader. Sonia earned an LLM in taxation from Villanova School of Law, a J.D. from Dickinson School of Law, and holds a B.S. in accounting from Elizabethtown. Sonia is a barred attorney and licensed CPA.
